Built in 2012, this 8,000 square foot contemporary Avenues home starts off strong with a glass-walled vestibule with inset floor lighting, a statement chandelier, and a two-story ceiling. The walls of the living and dining room slide open to the patio and pool and remove the division between indoor and outdoor. Five of the six bedrooms have ensuites. The one bedroom that lacks a bathroom makes up for it with a private balcony. This was a show home the Miele used to demonstrate its understated luxury appliances, including a hidden fridge and in-wall coffee maker. The heated in-ground pool has an automatic cover, so you don't have to worry about your dog in the yard while you are in the basement climbing the rock wall or picking out the right bottle from the wine cellar. This expansive home in the Avenues isn't just unique because it was one of the filming locations for the horror film Hereditary (worth a google) but also because it is not the kind of home you typically find in the Avenues at all. The home is amazing on its own. The neighborhood is amazing on its own. But both combined? Mythic.
